Today we took delivery of the Nespresso by Krups Pixie Coffee machine (model number XN300540) and here is our short review.

The first thing you notice about the Krups Pixie is that the box is quite big, but also quite attractive and you can tell before you even open the box that a lot of detail has been put into the product.

• A Smart Start guide which gives very simple instructions on how to get started with your first cup of Coffee and shows how to order more capsules.

Getting Started with the Krups Pixie

Getting started with this machine is really very simple – just fill up the water tank and run it through the machine a few times and it is ready to start making lovely coffee. 🙂

The machine takes a very short time to warm up and then it is time to put a capsule in:

Make your choice of Espresso or Lungo quantity:

And out comes the Coffee in a matter of seconds:

And here is the finished product!

The machine makes a lovely, genuine odour while the coffee is being poured and it tastes great.  It is very compact and uses very little space, quite handy in a kitchen where there is not a lot of space.

The only negative point is that the Krups Pixie is actually quite noisy, but this is really a minor complaint given how quickly the coffee is made ready.

The empty capsules are ejected when you lift the handle on the machine and can be easily disposed of:

Conclusion

The Krups Pixie really a very quick and clean solution compared to traditional methods, which can put you off making a coffee if you are short on time.

It does give you a sense that you are using a premium product and feels a bit special.
